Authentication

JobsPipe authenticates every API request with a secret Bearer key.

Every request needs a valid API key. Keys belong to your account and draw on your plan's credits. The only exception is the sandbox under /v1/sandbox, which needs no key and returns fixed sample data.

Creating a key

In the dashboard, go to Settings → API Keys and click Generate API key. The key starts with jp_live_ and is shown only once. Store it in a secret manager, not in source control.

Full walkthrough: Manage API keys.

Using a key

Send the key on every request, in either header:

curl https://api.jobspipe.dev/v1/jobs/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer jp_live_your_key_here" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "job_title_or": ["data analyst"] }'
curl https://api.jobspipe.dev/v1/jobs/search \
  -H "x-api-key: jp_live_your_key_here" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "job_title_or": ["data analyst"] }'

We recommend Authorization: Bearer.

Revoking a key

Open Settings → API Keys, find the key, and click Revoke. Revocation takes effect within about a minute. After that, requests with the key return 401.
