Slack
Search jobs and scan tech stacks from Slack with /jobspipe and @JobsPipe mentions, and send Signals to a Slack channel.
The JobsPipe Slack app lets you search jobs and scan tech stacks without opening the dashboard. Connect it in the dashboard under Settings → Slack.
Add JobsPipe to a workspace
- Go to Settings → Slack.
- Click Add to Slack and approve the install in Slack.
- You are sent back to Settings → Slack, where the workspace appears under Connected workspaces.
Whoever installs the app is connected to their JobsPipe account in the same step. Connecting creates a dedicated API key named Slack · <workspace name>, which appears in Settings → API Keys next to your other keys.
If you were signed in to JobsPipe as a different user than the one who started the install, the workspace is still installed but no account is connected. Run /jobspipe link in Slack to connect.
Connect teammates
Each person in the workspace connects their own JobsPipe account once. Nothing is shared between people in the workspace.
- In Slack, run
/jobspipe link. Any command or mention from someone who is not connected yet returns the same link. - Open the link. It is good for 15 minutes and works once.
- Sign in to JobsPipe if asked, check the workspace, Slack user and JobsPipe account shown, and click Connect account.

A question gets a private Searching: ... acknowledgement right away. The answer is then posted to the channel with up to 8 matching jobs, the total number of matches, and an Open in JobsPipe link.
Mentions and direct messages
Mention @JobsPipe with a question in any channel the app is in, or send the app a direct message. The answer is posted in a thread. Keep replying in that thread to refine the search: earlier messages in the thread are used as context.
Credits
Searches from Slack run on your own API key, so they draw on your own credits and follow your plan's limits, exactly like API requests. They show up on that key's line in usage. When you are out of credits, the app replies that you are out of credits this month instead of returning results.
Disconnect
- From the dashboard: Settings → Slack, then Disconnect next to the workspace.
- From Slack: run
/jobspipe unlink.
Disconnecting removes the link between your Slack user and your JobsPipe account. The Slack · <workspace name> API key is not revoked automatically; revoke it in Settings → API Keys if you no longer need it.
Slack as a Signal destination
Signals can post new matches to a Slack channel. This does not use the Slack app above: the destination is a Slack incoming webhook URL (https://...) that you create in Slack for the channel. Slack destinations need a paid plan. Each message lists up to 10 matches with a Manage signals on JobsPipe link.
